Post-Production Process

Post Production

  1. Footage Ingestion & Backup – All raw footage is transferred to secure storage and backed up.

  2. Assembly Cut – The editor compiles an initial rough sequence of the film or episode.

  3. Rough Cut – A more refined version of the project is created, incorporating early feedback from the director and producers.

  4. Fine Cut – Final timing, pacing, and scene transitions are polished to prepare for color and sound work.

  5. Picture Lock – The edit is finalized, and no further changes to the visuals are made.

  6. Sound Editing & Design – Audio is cleaned up, dialogue is enhanced, and sound effects are added.

  7. ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) – If needed, actors re-record dialogue for improved sound quality.

  8. Foley Recording – Custom sound effects (e.g., footsteps, rustling clothes) are created and synced.

  9. Score Composition & Music Licensing – Original music is composed, or licensed tracks are acquired and placed.

  10. Color Correction & Grading – The final color look is adjusted for consistency and style.

  11. Visual Effects (VFX) – CGI, compositing, and any digital enhancements are added.

  12. Final Sound Mixing & Mastering – The full audio mix (dialogue, music, and effects) is balanced and optimized.

  13. Quality Control (QC) & Final Review – The project is checked for errors, glitches, or inconsistencies.

  14. Export & Encoding – The final film/episode is formatted for distribution platforms (theatrical, streaming, TV, etc.).

  15. Delivery & Archiving – The project is delivered to distributors, festivals, or clients, and master files are archived.
